AUGUST 2023 NEWSLETTER

Lots of family and friend fun was had at the 4th of July celebrations this year, our busiest day of the pool season so far! And what a great turn out for this years Adult Social!
We hope that you can join us for Family Fun Day this upcoming Saturday, July 29th! Reminder that there are no guests permitted on this day.

A special thank you to all who volunteer their time and effort and make these social events possible for our pool members!

POOL HOURS:

Late Summer Pool Hours:
**Beginning on July 31st**

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
10:30 am – 8:00 pm

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
11:30 am – 8:45 pm

Join us for Lap swim! Lap swim is available for the first hour the pool is open 7 days/week!

Last day the pool is open Monday, September 4th

NEWS FROM THE SNAKE PIT:

The Snack Bar is Open 1 pm - 7 pm DAILY!
The Grill will be serving made to order Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers and Hotdogs!
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Open from 4 pm - 6 pm

Please come and VOLUNTEER to work the grill on Sunday for an hour shift from
4 pm - 5 pm or 5 pm - 6pm. Sign up genius here!

SOCIAL:

Reminder there are *NO Guests* permitted on Family Fun Day!

Float Nights are ALMOST here!!

The following Float Night Rules are in place to continue this fun activity:
- Children 6 & under must have an adult supervision in the pool
- Children 7 & over must have passed their diving band test OR must have adult supervision in the pool
- Over-sized floats (>40") will not be allowed in the pool
- Never jump off the side of the pool onto a float
- No standing on floats. No pushing/knocking others off of floats
- The manager reserves the right to limit the number of floats and swimmers

SWIM AND DIVE TEAM:

**Pool will CLOSE EARLY at 5:00 pm for
Swim and Dive Banquet
Monday, July 24th

**Pool will CLOSE EARLY at 2:00 pm for
B CHAMPS
Wednesday, July 26th
On this day only (7/26) our members are welcome to swim at any of the other clubs in our league - Fort Washington, Sunny Willow and Manor Lu are the closest clubs to Maple Manor!

Good Luck to all our Swimmers and Divers participating in Champs this summer!

CONGRATULATIONS to the MM Swim and Dive Team in celebrating another undefeated season to win the Colonial Swim League!!

STAFF SCHOLARSHIP:

COMMUNITY AND BOARD UPDATE:

Thank you to all members who were able to join us for the general membership meeting on July 22nd. If you should have any other questions or comments you would like to share with the Board members please email membership@maplemanorswimclub.org.

FEATURED POOL RULE:

No diapers or floaties in the big pool!

For the safety of our members and staff, there is
*NO GLASS* permitted. In an effort to be discreet please cover any labels of alcoholic beverages and transfer to a non-breakable container.

Please be kind and follow the rules for recycling as posted on each bin! Members are responsible for taking their cans home with them to be disposed.
